[opensuse-kde3] safely remove error: Unable to unmount "/dev/sde1
Hello: I installed openSUSE 12.2 with KDE 3.5.10. The kdebase packages are from the hal-enabled repository. When I try to remove a mounted USB flash disk from the desktop by right-click -> safely remove I get this error message: Error - kio_media_mounthelper Unable to unmount "/dev/sde1". Reason: Not authorized to perform operation Automatic mounting occurs normally. How to fix this? Thanks, Istvan ps: I found the same question on this list but it wasn't answered: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde3/2012-10/msg00010.html -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

One more thing: In previous openSUSE versions (12.1, 11.x) with KDE 3.5 when I right clicked the mounted USB disk and selected "Properties", there was a 4th tab (after "General", "Permissions", and "Meta Info") called "Mounting", where I could change default mount options for the specific flash drive. This "Mounting" tab is missing in 12.2. Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
