[opensuse-kde3] desktop-data-openSUSE has been updated

The package desktop-data-openSUSE has been updated in openSUSE 11.4. You can install the fixed package from the openSUSE:11.4:Update repository. Thus there is no need for a custom-build package any more. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org

Did this. It deletes kdebase3-SuSE and same name ... lang file. I think something is wrong. I applied this, plus the online updates (which included the zpib fix?), then rebooted. Now after I login, the desktop shows: 1. With icons on the desktop, but no icon text; 2. On the taskbar, no clock/calendar, systray (so no knemo, mixer, klipper?), no destop number icons at all, no program listed in tasbar when running (e.g., firefox). All I have on the taskbar is the Klogo for accessing the menu, and my 4 "shortcuts" to programs, e.g., file manager, firefox, Kmail, Konsole). nothing else. Rightwards of that ... nothing but the taskbar background to the right side of the screen. I have #1 solved, obviously, but not the taskbar problem. Also, after the desktop comes up (fairly well) the former/standard blue KDE splash/progress indicator comes up, as if it's also trying to bring up the desktop, accompanied by (3 in total) Error Messages: "Applet Loading Error - KDE Panel. The applet could not be loaded. Please check your configuration." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org
