[opensuse-kde3] usb headset
Hello SuSE people, Bought me a nice new Logitech H530 usb headset andc plugged it in. Doesn't "just work". Opened Yast > Sound. Yast saw it, configured it and played a test sound. Nada, Won't work in any app including system sounds, Alsaconf made things worse by shutting down my sound chip and I had to reconfigure it. Google was no help. Does this need a kernel module ? a driver? Can't figure out how to make this thing work, neither in KDE3 nor KDE4, Can somebody please point me in the right direction? Hey Bob, Let's start with 'lsusb -v' so we can try and get a handle on the hardware :) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org

... And versions of kernel and alsa driver. Mine works only with alsa-driver 1.0.23 and higher. With older versions it hangs the system... Regards, -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org
