[opensuse-kde3] Kvkbd patches and build
I've recently updated my build script for TDE Kvkbd and ported the patches for a KDE3 build. As SuSE provided the source, I thought I'd offer the patches and build details here. A number of issues have been fixed: * Add a LSGT key to the right of left Shift for non-US keyboards * Add a RWIN key * Choose keyboard and/or key colour at build time * Set keycodes for evdev mapping * Show characters on dead_keys * and more .. For anybody interested in this app, it's a straightforward back-to-basics build - patch, configure, unsermake. Most patches are for MainWidget.cpp which is also where the text for the control and Num pad keys can be altered. For these and any other user options, see the comments in the patch. I've created a build package @ https://ray-v.github.io/KDE3-kvkbd-patches.tar.xz This includes an index.docbook for which the cache file has to be built without the meinproc --check option as I haven't kept to strict DTD protocols. The resultant helpfile displays as intended though, so I don't see that as a problem. I don't think I've done anything that could be considered original, but if there is and SuSE want to use it, it's public domain. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you Ray, I don't a few packages the other way, kde->tde in the days before Slavek had his auto script that made all the Q->TQ changes. I'll see if I can get it to build. I think I recall was Kvkbd is -- is that the virtual keyboard that would allow you to use the mouse type... I do recall using that years ago. Will check it out. -- David C.
