[opensuse-kde3] gtk style and font in KDE 3
Hello: I have a problem with gtk styles and font sizes in KDE 3.5.10 in openSUSE 11.2. The gtk styles and font sizes are not consistent for different users on my system even if the gtk style setup is the same in KDE control center. I found that for different users the values for GTK2_RC_FILES are not always the same. For example for test1 is: ~> echo $GTK2_RC_FILES /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:/home/test1/.gtkrc-2.0-qtengine:/home/test1/.gtkrc-2.0:/home/test1/.kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0 for user is: ~> echo $GTK2_RC_FILES /home/user/.gtkrc-2.0-kde:/home/user/.gtkrc-2.0-qtengine:/home/lxuser/.gtkrc-2.0:/home/lxuser/.kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0 When I set gtk style and font in KDE control center a ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde file is created but is seems it is not used. Furthermore for the same user the style is different (eg. window background color) depending on whether the application is started in konsole or KDE application runner (Alt+F2). I have kde3-kcm_gtk-0.7svn20070827-21.2 installed. Earlier I had kde3-gtk-qt-engine but curently it is not available in 11.2 KDE3 repos. My questions are: 1. Which one of the above two is preferred or better? 2. How the GTK2_RC_FILES is set up? 3. How the gtk style and font size is determined in KDE 3.5? I am very confused now how gtk style setup occurs in KDE and I would like to understand it.
