All, After having done several full installs of 15.0 and 15.1 with no notable issues, I did my first zypper dup --downloadinadvance after having done a zypper clean and zypper ref. The zypper dup went well (even with the NVidia drivers and cinelerra repos). However, I have a frustrating problem that is not present in the fresh installs of 15.0 and 15.1. I use Keramik as the KDE3 style (in both 15.0 and 15.1 fresh installs), but after a zypper dup, the Plastik and Keramik styles do not show in the menus. The versions of the packages are exactly the same between the working 15.0 fresh install box and this box. The only styles shown available are CDE, Windows 95, Platinum and SGI (yuk). None of the core KDE widget styles are listed in Appearance->Style. kdeglobals still has my widgetStyle=keramik, but it displays as CDE (first in shown list I guess) The library files are all there: $ find . -type f -name "*keramik*" ./share/apps/kwin/keramik.desktop ./share/apps/kstyle/themes/keramik.themerc ./share/doc/HTML/en/krec/krec-keramik.png ./lib64/kde3/kwin3_keramik.so ./lib64/kde3/kwin_keramik_config.so ./lib64/kde3/kwin3_keramik.la ./lib64/kde3/kwin_keramik_config.la ./lib64/kde3/plugins/styles/keramik.so ./lib64/kde3/plugins/styles/keramik.la ./lib64/kde3/kstyle_keramik_config.so ./lib64/kde3/kstyle_keramik_config.la I have run kbuildsycoca --noincremental to eliminate a cache issue and restarted the desktop, no joy....
