[opensuse-kde3] multiple monitors/displays confusion
Hello: I have a fresh installation of openSUSE 12.3 with KDE3 hal-enabled: kdebase3-3.5.10.1-374.1.x86_6 I also have nvidia drivers from nvidia repo: nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-desktop-304.88_k3.7.10_1.1-25.1.x86_64 nvidia-computeG02-304.88-26.1.x86_64 x11-video-nvidiaG02-304.88-26.1.x86_64 My screen size is 1600x1200 which works. But when I start configuring desktop, 1. In the backround menu I see: Setting for desktop: "All desktops"-pulldown "Across all screens"-pulldown The "Across all screens"-pulldown options are: Across all screens, On each screen, Screen 1, Screen 2. Why do I have different screens, where do they come from? I've never seen this before. 2. In the Display Setting menu: There is a tab "Multiple Monitors". This shows two displays, and tickboxes for multiple Monitor support. Is this a new feature? Even if I untick all, I can push my application windows to the right or down, off the screen, but I can't switch to that part of the screen. Is there a decription of these features and of how to configure/use them? I am confused.
