Hi all. kde3utils-extra is part of the ymp. It requires libpython2.7.so which is not provided by any package. Is there any plan to apply the trinity patches for Python3 support? If not, it might also be removed from the ymp, as it does not seem to be necessary for a daily usage. Greetings Lioh

We get the TDE patches on a random schedule. When Ilya was building KDE3, we could request certain commits etc.. It was a 2 way street. If SUSE patched something we would pass it along to TDE and if Tim patched something, then he would let us know. This process has fallen by the wayside in the past few years. I know there are a number of TDE patches we need to get, including the python 3 patches. If we had a git tree for our KDE3 source, we could just cherry-pick the commits and undo the name T->K name mangling that TDE does and remove the TQTinterface code. (another idea that was good at the time, but provides a lot of cruft in the code noe...) If we get a list of needed commits, Yasuhiko can probably pull the patches in. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
