[opensuse-kde3] kdebase3-kdm depends on non-existent libIlmImf-2_2-22 (that Pacman formerly provided)
None of GDM, LightDM, SDDM provide functionality provided by KDM3 or KDM4. Thus, one or the other is still needed as long as http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ remains populated. Why should KDM# depend on anything from Packman? Even 42.3 and 15.0 show ~ the following: # zypper se -s libIlmImf | libIlmImf-Imf_2_1-21-32bit | package | 2.1.0-10.3.1 | x86_64 | Update | libIlmImf-Imf_2_1-21-32bit | package | 2.1.0-9.5 | x86_64 | OSS i | libIlmImf-2_2-22 | package | 2.2.0-37.2 | x86_64 | (System Packages) i | libIlmImf-Imf_2_1-21 | package | 2.1.0-10.3.1 | x86_64 | Update v | libIlmImf-Imf_2_1-21 | package | 2.1.0-9.5 | x86_64 | OSS Why does a DM even need a "Library to Handle EXR Pictures in 16-Bit" in the first place? -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. The dependency on libIlmImf is most likely indirect, I've checked all kde3 spec files, no mention of the library. $ rpm -q --whatrequires 'libIlmImf-2_2.so.23()(64bit)' libvigraimpex11-1.11.1-2.3.x86_64 libopencv3_3-3.3.1-3.3.x86_64 libMagickCore-7_Q16HDRI5-7.0.7.25-1.1.x86_64 gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.12.5-4.1.x86_64 but I don't have full kde3 on this machine so you would find more packages that depend on it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
