[opensuse-kde3] Kmail and Chrome
Hello This list doe sent seem to be very active anymore. I hope someone can help me. Chrome has taken over AS the default browser in Kmail. I hate it. I want Fire Firefox back but cannot find the setting in the configuration settings. Hello Bob, You can change default web browser as follows: - KDE Control Center -> KDE Components -> Component Chooser -> Web Browser -> in the following browser - Type the full path of web browser (ex. /usr/bin/firefox) as you like. Bob, kcontrol (control panel) -> KDE Components -> Component Chooser and then you can set your e-mail client choice and webbrowser choice. I don't do chrome, but I suspect it has a similar registry setting that holds the mail client to invoke when a "mail-to" link is encountered, etc.. Currently I'm running Firefox & Thunderbird - both behaving as they should with the desktop. Desktop has been flawless from 11.0 through 15.1 (including the Leap 42.x releases). Pure joy to use with a dark-theme and the kde3-kwinstyle-crystal window decoration and Keramic window style. Give component chooser a go and if you still have issues, post a follow-up and I'll dig further. -- David C.
