[opensuse-kde3] 13.1 kde3-networkmanager - does not read connections in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections
Ilya, I'm using network manager in 13.1, so I attempted to load the kde3 network-manager package. While the balloon-tip shown the correct essid I'm connected to, it does not list any connections in the connections list. I've checked in gnome nm-connection-editor and it properly lists all connection in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections. Does the kde3 app need updating? -- David C. Ilya, Is there anywhere we can file feature/bug request for this type issue? It is apparent here that kde3-network manager is not reading system-wide connections from /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/. It makes sense since the connections are 0600 root:root. So either kde3-networkmanager needs to be suid to enable reading, or the /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ need to be something other than 0600 root:root. In the days after kde4, kde3 bugs/features could not be filed anymore with Novell bugzilla. They would be closed because they were not supporting kde3. What is the status? kde3 is in OSS, so can I file with Novell, or would you rather handle it on the list? -- David C.
