In spite of 1600x1200 as first listed mode in xrandr output, and first listed mode in EDID modes list in Xorg.0.log, and 1600x1200 as PreferredMode in xorg.conf, KDE is starting in 1152x864, the mode on cmdline which I put there to cause the console framebuffers to use that mode. IOW, it won't start in PreferredMode. To get there requires use of Krandrtray or xrandr. Is this a new intentional behavior?
