Qt3 has been recently updated to 3.3.8c version, which makes it compatible with the Trinity project. This is an important step in bringing Trinity to OpenSUSE. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org

Ilya, All, That it good news! I have started a project on Arch to build Trinity from the svn tree. See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Trinity I welcome any collaboration. I have kept notes on the issues I've had with the Arch build on the wiki as well as on the Trinity list. There maybe common issues between distributions, so if you run into problems, please feel free to check if I've solved them, --or-- please drop a note if you see one I haven't that you have an answer for. So far my completed package build list is: pykde3 qt3-3.3.8c tqtinterface arts kdelibs kdebindings is currently broken, but isn't required to have a working Trinity environment. I am currently stuck on kdebase. The details of which are here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Trinity#kdebase_build_errors_-_2_issues I'm currently working to either setup and build from a virtual machine to eliminate the Qt4 conflict or learn how to setup a chroot for build purposes. The port of Trinity to cmake is nice, but the Qt4 conflicts can be trouble. The trinity-users list has been very helpful and is low-volume for those interested. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Robert Xu (he is on this list as well) is building Trinity in his home repo in OBS. You can join efforts with him. Note also that Trinity is included in the official repo of Alt Linux (Sisyphus). This means that it will be also included in the Russian state free software repository as well because it will be based on Sisyphus. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org

As always, Xu_R on irc.freenode.net. I have decided on the following: - edit and test scripts on my local obs, then when they are at least succeeding, - commit them to home:bravoall1552:trinity and test there. - more to come as they succeed :) -- later, Robert Xu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org
