[opensuse-kde3] roadrunner screws up kmail
even though i have switched to thunderbird, i really miss my kmail. so i tried it again and it worked fine for a couple of hours . then the duplicates nonsense started again, but this time i got an error message: "Your POP3 server (Account: kanenas) does not support the UIDL command: this command is required to determine, in a reliable way, which of the mails on the server KMail has already seen before; the feature to leave the mails on the server will therefore not work properly.' does this mean anything to anyone? d. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

Kmail has worked well and propery for me since, at least, 9.x. Working fine in 12.1/KDE3 now, and has certainly deleted the item off the POP3 server once it has downloaded it into Kmail. For sure. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

The problem is not deleting messages at the pop server. The messages are set to stay there because it is much simpler for me, for many reasons. The problem is that, when the messages stay on the server, in 12.1 kde3, kmail quickly loses track of what it has already downloaded and downloads the same emails over and over and over... The message I posted was the first error message that i came across re my duplicates situation, and it seems to point in the direction of a windoze related upgrade of the windoze pop server of my isp... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
