[opensuse-kde3] why misc-console-font required?
Anyone know why this frequently rebuilt annoyance is required by kdebase3(-apps?)? What's wrong with using the generic global monospace font, which I have to change Konsole to use after every new installation or user creation? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Hi all, In openSUSE 13.2, I noticed that when I double-click on text in a terminal, whether konsole or xterm, the text is highlighted for about 1 second and then it is no longer highlighted. If I double-click again on the same text it stays highlighted. In older version of openSUSE, the text would remain highlighted the first time whenever I double-click on it. Does anybody know how to change this behavior? Interestingly, it seems to occur with specific applications. The problem does not occur with KDE4 konsole. There, if I double-click on text, it remains highlighted the first time. On the other hand, with xterm and KDE3 konsole, I need to double-click a second time in order for the text to stay highlighted, although the selection still works, i.e., it is listed in klipper and I can copy-paste it. Also, the same behavior happens also in LXDE: xterm, KDE3 konsole and even lxterminal do not keep the text highlighted the first time, but KDE4 konsole does. Is there any way to change this? Has anybody observed this in any openSUSE version? Thanks, Gianluca On Thu, 16 Feb 2017, Gianluca Interlandi wrote:

I tried in KDE3 konsole in OS13.1, Leap 42.1 and Tumbleweed and in all 3 it worked as expected, the text stays highlighted. I do not have 13.2 anymore, so could not check there. On Fri, Feb 17, 2017 at 2:41 AM, Gianluca Interlandi <gianluca@u.washington.edu> wrote:
