Strange thing is that it looks fine in KDE4 (I did simple test creating the text document). But in KDE3 the window is distorted (every time I move the mouse cursor, the picture changes). Please see the snapshot.

I do not think I've seen it with original libreoffice 4.2. I'll re-install it later and check again.
Hi, Ilya,
Please disregard my previous observation. This is old HW with old NVIDIA card. This card requires NVIDIA driver of 173.xx series that is not supported any more. So the nouveau driver is used on this machine. This driver never worked well for me. I'll re-try on my main machine later and update you.
Ilya, I eventually repeated it on my main system. Unfortunately the result is the same. It works fine with KDE4 (so here you are right, there is no conflict with kde4 extensions). But in KDE3 I see a lot of garbage on screen. I can attach snapshot, but it is basically the same as on old system: main area is OK, but menu bar, icons are garbled. when I hover with mouse over this area, the garbage changes its form but still stays there. After removing KDE3 extensions everything is OK again.
