[opensuse-kde3] icons turn black in OpenSUSE 12.1

Yesterday I've updated to OpenSUSE 12.1 and now I am frustrated with a rather annoying problem. The icons under KDE3 often turn black or, sometime, transparent (or, at least, became black when I move the mouse to them on the panel). This often occurs spontaneously, but virtually every time I hibernate/resume the computer. Note that there is no such effect under XFCE (even for KDE3 applications). Maybe this problem correlates with the fact that there is no bootsplash (splashy exits with an error) after the upgrade, but I am not sure.
