As for suspend, as I said ealier, this Thinkpad is new enough where closing the lid suspends, & it works with no problems. It's a T60p, Core Duo 2.13Ghz, 7 years old. My A30p never did that properly. It's about 11 years old & Pentium 3 Tualatin 1.2Ghz.
