zypper rm xf86-video-ati If restarting X after that doesn't help, try (which I doubt is applicable): zypper in xf86-video-amdgpu Do you have an Xorg.0.log anywhere from before you upgraded to 42.3? That would tell which Xorg driver was previously in use. Are all these installed? kernel-firmware libdrm_amdgpu1 libamd-2_4_1 ucode-amd Pastebin your latest Xorg.0.log so we can see if anything looks suspicious. http://susepaste.org/ (accessible via cmdline via susepaste command). I really don't know anything else to suggest. All my KDE3/42.3 installations work as expected. None have AMD CPUs.
