This occurs every boot since updates just performed on 42.1. which included update from kernel-default-4.1.36-41.1.x86_64 to kernel-default-4.1.36-44.1.x86_64. Usually on boot when I see the greeter I switch to vtty3 to do a little manual maintenance as root before normal user login. It now takes quite some time before the waiting on display-manager.service start message to clear before I see a login prompt, even though the display-manager.service has obviously gotten the greeter going successfully.

Anyone else now see this?
I do not use 42.1 much, just install updates, so I have not noticed this. But now I've checked my "messages" file (I installed syslog) and I see something similar, though not exactly the same: 2017-01-24T17:30:01.212032+02:00 pc systemd[1]: Started User Manager for UID 0. 2017-01-24T17:30:11.067265+02:00 pc systemd[1]: display-manager.service start operation timed out.
