Robert, All
I was looking over the OBS project at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3Abravoall1552%3Atrinit... and wondered if there was a wiki or set of notes squirreled away that show what had worked and what hadn't as far as the 11.3 and Factory builds? Right now I don't have an an opensuse box for building, but when 11.4 is released, I'll dump an 11.0 install and replace it with 11.4 or just setup a new VirtualBox install of 11.4 for building.
Well, I'll get to that in a little bit.
Robert, do you have a public set of specs for the trinity packages that I could get w/o having to go to each page of the OBS project and download them? (it's easy enough to do, but if you have a ../specs directory somewhere, that would be easiest) What I've done with Arch is just to collect all the PKGBUILDs (the Arch spec file equivalent) into a single dir as a working copy for development. e.g.:
18:50 alchemy:~/arch/tnotes> ls -1 pkgbuild/ meta svn PKGBUILD-arts PKGBUILD-dbus-qt3 PKGBUILD-kdeaccessibility PKGBUILD-kdebase PKGBUILD-kdebindings PKGBUILD-kdelibs PKGBUILD-pykde3 PKGBUILD-pyqt3 PKGBUILD-qt3-trinity PKGBUILD-tqtinterface
Do you have anything like that (spec-<module>?
Sadly, no, because each package has its own directory when I use the cli interface.
It will take me a week or so to shift gears from pkgbuild to rpm and get back up to speed on the spec format, but I figure if we can get Trinity building on at least one of the two distros I use (SuSE/Arch), then we can probably figure out how to get it going on the other. Thanks.
Ok, Right now, I'm currently in a little spec restructuring, because of some unforseen problems on the opensuse build service, including the dependency mess that is being created because 0%{?distro} is not working. If you give me a few days, I can get you the current working specs up to kdebase. -- later, Robert Xu -- later, Robert Xu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+help@opensuse.org
