Hi,
I think that the most recent packge rebuild was caused by gcc's major update (from 13 to 14, from Tumbleweed snapshot 20240827).
This was previously announced on the factory mailing list (#1), and was expected that many packages would cause build failures. As a result, various packages (including "festival" within KDE3) were updated, which caused frequent rebuilds.
Thank you Yasuhio! I haven't resubscribed to factory since my suddenlinkmail address account died. Yes, that makes perfect sense. Arch moved to gcc-14 several months ago, and everything required a rebuild -- thankfully there were less than 5% of the packages that broke. KDE3 will probably have a higher fail rate due to most code being pre-C++11. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
