Hi, I think that the most recent packge rebuild was caused by gcc's major update (from 13 to 14, from Tumbleweed snapshot 20240827). This was previously announced on the factory mailing list (#1), and was expected that many packages would cause build failures. As a result, various packages (including "festival" within KDE3) were updated, which caused frequent rebuilds. #1: "Please check if your packages build (correctly) with GCC 14 - take 2" Mon, 19 Aug 2024 19:20:20 +0200 (openSUSE Factory mailing list) I think that there was no way to know exactly what caused rebuild... Yasuhiko, All,
What is triggering all the kde3 package rebuilds? In less than 24 hours we have: ...
arts would do it since it is first in the build-order... but then that wouldn't trigger a rebuild of qt3. Just curious. Who knew kde3 was under such active development :)
This isn't only limited to the KDE3 repo, packman (which is the slowest from the US) also has about 50 of the same packages that seem to build every day and the mozilla repo that has a couple of libs and nss that rebuilds every day. Does anybody know what is causing this?
Horrible mirror speed from the US makes it painful to update Tumbleweed.
