I'm not aware of any unless that is something SuperKaramba did. There also used to be a "laptop" rpm that would try and interpret the special Fn keys for display brightness, volume, etc.., but I haven't had any luck with that in a while.
Hopefully others will have an idea. For the battery, I've just been using a shell script to monitor charge if I'm running on battery and need to know the charge level. (e.g. you can read /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/capacity to get the current charge level)
If you find a good tool, let us know.
