I've tried to put 11.4 and KDE3 on a spare laptop, and had issues trying to configure the wireless, and add mp3, etc to sound. Can those parts of the install instructions be expanded ?
Telling us specifically what to add from the KDE 3.5 for stating up a wireless connection, and for the best process to add KDE3 mp3 support would be very helpful. -- Robert Smits bob@rsmits.ca

for wireless, just forget about network manager and get wic-d. set up the network in yast for *not using* networkmanager, config your wirelss card and fire up wicd. it works better than windoze:) it works great with kde3 and i think kde4. d. I think if I were doing a desktop, I'd do just that and use ifup instead of network manager, but this is a laptop with constantly changing networks. I like being able to make new onnections without having to reconfigure the network card.
