I've tried to put 11.4 and KDE3 on a spare laptop, and had issues trying to configure the wireless, and add mp3, etc to sound. Can those parts of the install instructions be expanded ?
Telling us specifically what to add from the KDE 3.5 for stating up a wireless connection, and for the best process to add KDE3 mp3 support would be very helpful. -- Robert Smits bob@rsmits.ca

for wireless, just forget about network manager and get wic-d. set up the network in yast for *not using* networkmanager, config your wirelss card and fire up wicd. it works better than windoze:) it works great with kde3 and i think kde4. d.
Wireless works well with knetworkmanager for me. On the other hand, when configured with Yast it does not assign default gateway each first attempt after reboot.
So, I should just install knetworkmanager-kde3? Any other stuff that should also be installed here? -- Robert Smits bob@rsmits.ca Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home...David Frost -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
