somewhat off topic, but: my son just gave mom a qnix qx2700led display. the system is an intel 965-something mobo, q6600 cpu, 8gb ram, nvidia gt240 video card. i have suse 11.1, 11.4, 12.1, 12.2 installed, all running under kde3. but the qx2700led is a problem. with the nouveau driver, most syastems default to a 1600x1200 display instead of the true 2560x1440 res. does anybody have a good modeline for this little beast? the ones generated by cvt &&gft don't seem to work. the 12.1 -kde3 live cd seems to have it right with the default nouveau driver, but i can't find where the config is, nothing in /etc/X11/, no xorg.conf, the xconfig.d.install is only a listing of default drivers like fb, vesa, vmware, vga etc, nothing else, where is the config? the real problem is that "the boss:)" needs to run google-earth on her computer, so i need to make either google-earth work with nouveau, or make the nvidia drivers work with the display. the xrandr way has produced nothing so far, only error messages, so please suggest something:) thanks in advance, d. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
