I just switched my Leap 42.2 system to Leap 42.3. Note please that it was not through an installation update, but from a new install. There is a problem with X window system or KDE3 windows manager : when moving a window, it follows the mouse cursor with a delay, which makes it very difficult to position. The same problem exists with a change in window size. Would anyone have a solution, please ?
Not knocking the work everyone has done to keep KDE3 working on openSUSE, but have you guys tried Trinity Desktop/TDE? They have made a lot of improvements on the base system and I've been using it full-time for a while now with no issues. I've been very pleased with it and would recommend it now over KDE3. The current version is 14.04, and there are zypper repos for the current Leap 42.3. https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/OpenSUSE_Trinity_Repository_Installation_Ins... At some point, is it really going to be worth trying to keep KDE3 working with newer versions of openSUSE when it's basically a static environment? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
