If you do not need kde3-window-decorator, you can use the latest compiz 0.9
I need kde3-window-decorator :) I use compiz on and off. The kwin-crystal windeco is my normal setup. Also, when I did beta testing on compiz 9, it was so slow, I could watch the scan-lines draw the pixels on the screen. Compiz 8.x is more than fine for my install. I am really glad, and impressed that it is still available for 11.4. There are just some things you can't really improve on. ( kde 3.5.10 w/compiz 8.x is one of those things :) One issue I have with compiz (that has been around since 11.3) is that 'zoom desktop' is broken. It works fine on the Arch Linux install. Does it work on your 11.4 install? <super>Button4 & <super>Button5 ? -- David C.
