Hi all, I'm packaging a program that does use maven to build the project. What I noticed was: 1) there is not official maven version available in OBS to be used (search for maven only gave home projects and I'm having problems using those with missing plugins) 2) Is the BuildRequires name "maven" ? 3) How to call maven in the spec file? "%mvn" didn't work, I'm using just mvn at the moment, which is calling maven ok to start the build process. any idea/thoughts? thanks, Denny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-java+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-java+help@opensuse.org

Yes, the build of maven expects many new packages and is not really straightforward. I tryed to adapt maven2-bootstrap package from jpackage.org project, but was not sucesfull - see Java:jpackage-5.0/maven2-bootstrap - it ends with NPE during build (if I remember that correctly). If you know whare the problem should be, it would be great. I propose you to create a maven2-binary package whith similar provides as a maven2 from jpackage.org and use it.

BR: maven2 is better.
3) How to call maven in the spec file? "%mvn" didn't work, I'm using just mvn at the moment, which is calling maven ok to start the build process.
Just call mvn, I don't know about macro used for it.
any idea/thoughts?
thanks, Denny
