Re: [suse-isdn] ISDN reconnect and vbox questions
Hi Jeroen, concerning the hangup-problem: I set the idle time to 190 secs. Suse once advised to do so due to some problems with hungup and redial when idle time less than 180 secs. This is the idle time you can setup with yast. concerning the VBOX-problem I have no idea due to no experience with that ;-) But don't give up trying :-) Regards Carsten Rüthel "Jeroen Verstegen" <jeroen@jota.nl> on 16.10.2000 10:31:45 To: "suse-isdn" <suse-isdn@suse.com> cc: (bcc: Carsten Ruethel/EXTERN/VIAGInterkom) Subject: [suse-isdn] ISDN reconnect and vbox questions Hi all, I'm new to this list and and because my german is worse than my english, I'm writing in the latter. I have the following configuration at home: 1 SuSE 7.0 linux file/mail server: linserv 1 SuSE 7.0 linux firewall/gateway: linwall 3 win98 machines The network is working fine. Samba does the job for the Win-machines and all the machines can connect to the outside world through linwall. But...a few problems/questions Once I'm connected with a win machine through the gateway and the Hangup time of 60 secs has passed, the gateway does not reconnect automatically What setting(s) controls this? I have also a couple of questions concerning VBOX. It does work, but I'd like to do more with it, such as to be able to use NIS users, www2vbox, dialing in to hear recorded messages etc. Is there a website with in depth information? Such as how to use VBOX inside a network, set up a www for vbox, mail the sounddata to the appropriate user, dialing in, etc. I'm really confused regarding the VBOX setup. I need instructions from scratch and possibly with lots of examples. Please tell me if there is a good place to start. I searched everywhere, but VBOX seems a little obsolete nowadays as most of the sites I found are no longer on line. thanks in advance Jeroen Verstegen jeroen@jota.nl http://www.jota.nl --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-isdn-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-isdn-help@suse.com
