I am having trouble with ISDN: after starting the card (rci4l start) I saw message about IRQ. (see below). After that, when a client made a request, the card started calling out.
This gave messages about ISAC XDU no skb. pinging is very slow (sometimes 10 seconds for a ping to come back) and I also saw some message about dialstate 0, and an error E001B (?)
Out of order, normal with XDU errors (Transmit underrun).
Where to search for the troubles?
- Hardware: cabling; card position (fit in slot ?) - also old Teles ISA cards seems to have problems in Pentium boards some boards have an 5V ISA slot (mostly the last slot), try to use this slot (or change the slot). - hidden hardware conflicts (16.3 use shadow ISA registers in the IO Space see cat /proc/ioports, ISA networkcards and some soundcards are known to make trouble, try other addresses (0x180,0x280,0x380 are possible) ISAC XDU cann't real XDU in normal systems, since the D-channel datarate is to slow to make trouble. -- Karsten Keil SuSE Labs ISDN development
