Hallo zusammen this list has not seen any real traffic since March 2014. The YaST ISDN module was deprecated in openSUSE 13.2, and with ISDN services being phased out in Germany, and already having been (mostly) phased out in Switzerland, perhaps it is time to close this list. Unless anyone has any objections (please write to me or ml-admin@o.o), I propose to close the list by 31 August. (I hope everyone will have come back from summer vacation by then). Couldn't even remember I still was subscribed to this list. Agreed, since long we don't use isdn for internet coonections, and here in NL isdn will be off in september 2019.

Dear Per, nowadys ISDN not much used for dial-up connections anymore. Hence it makes sense to close this mailing list. The main application of ISDN has become telephony, not datacomms. In IP-PBX installations, such as Asterisk, ISDN support under Linux (e.g. the mISDN v2 framework) is still popular for the emulation of ISDN subscriber lines. For any issues related to mISDN the isdn4linux mailing list exists. Best regards, the team of Cologne Chip, vendor of ISDN transceiver ICs Per Jessen schrieb:

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for making those chips - I have used a few of them over the years! (asterisk + mDISN). Best regards Per -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-isdn-de+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-isdn-de+owner@opensuse.org
