Hi all, Sorry for posting in english, but my German sucks... I've got a small problem with an ISDN connection hanging up too soon under SuSE 7.0. I run 6.4 here and it's fine. I've set the idle timeout to 30 minutes, but it seems to hangup before this, at different times. Looking at the logs it seems to be to do with the call charging. The message I get is something like (I forgot to bring the file back to the office :-) Hint: LCR Failed normal call clearing. I am in the UK, so the charging databases aren't useful anyway, and all the values are in DM! How do I stop the ISDN system doing this? Is it possible to still log the calls and produce reports if the charging is disabled? Thanks in advance. Mark.
Hi,
Hi all,
Sorry for posting in english, but my German sucks...
No problem.

Yes, isdnlog (if configured so) will hangup before the next charge interval and if the line is idle. $ man isdnlog /hangup You could try to set hangup=0:0:1800 or just drop this parameter.
... The message I get is something like (I forgot to bring the file back to the office :-)
Hint: LCR Failed
This is just a hint, ignore it.
normal call clearing.
Line was hung up.

You could build a basic rate-uk.dat file, s. man rate-files.
Thanks in advance. Mark.

normal call clearing.
LT> Line was hung up. Ok LT> You could build a basic rate-uk.dat file, s. man rate-files. swdunblane:/etc/rc.config.d # man rate-files No manual entry for rate-files :-( And unfortunately /usr/share/doc/packages/i4l/isdnlog/README is in German, as is rates4linux.souirceforge.net..
