Hi, Did somebody try to install the latest build? From Friday (2 FEB 07) night? I have trouble installing it. a) two missing dependencies: mkisofs + ia32el b) it does not seem to write the /boot properly, efi&elilo choke, elilo stops with file not found and repair of bootloader seems to be not possible due to lacking vfat support? Target system is a Intel quad IT2 system based on the Intel server platform, like the ones sold by DELL at some point. If you need more info, please ask. But this list seems to be not too active in the last while, so just in case nobody reads my lines I will stop here just now. Many thanks for any help, experience or hints! Update: got it to install (basic system), in case anybody else wonders. started rescue system, mounted filesystems, copied vmlinuz from /boot into /boot/efi/efi/SuSE (I think, were elilo.conf resides, anyway) and "cleaned up" the elilo.conf a bit so that I don't get any error messages anymore. Still have unsatisfied dependencies, in particular for KDE etc but will look into that later. Still, any experience, hints and tips welcome! Markus, openSUSE Factory is a moving target since it is a snapshot of the current development. As such, there are sometimes transient problems. This page gives some background if you haven't seen it: http://en.opensuse.org/Factory That said, I'd suggest opening bugs on the problems you encountered. Make sure and mention you are using factory. If you could Cc: me -- Bugzilla account gp@novell.com -- on any such reports, that would be great.
