I've acquired a computer with four AMD Opteron CPU's on a Celestica motherboard. I've installed Suse 9.0 but I don't believe that the installer recognizes the existence of multiple processors. Where can I find out about configuring linux to support multiple processors? I'm new to both this list and to linux. Al Fry -- Albert J. Fry E.B. Hi, I'm subscribed to this list from 1 year, this is the first mail i had received!! Don't waste time, try to install debian. P.S. May be you have to install a kernel with SMP support and HIMEM support. I didn't know that AMD now offers Itanium processor systems. :-) Seriously, you should go next door with the suse-amd64 sticker on it where the x86-64 architecture is discussed.
