So in the case of the Service Pack CDs, you've ejected the Service Pack CD 1 and then inserted SLES9 base CD1? Yes, the text is not very clear, but this is a known "problem." When using SLES Service Pack CDs, you boot from the Service Pack CD1 and then insert the BASE CD1 when requested. Hope this helps! -----Original Message----- From: s.schramke@bull.de [mailto:s.schramke@bull.de] Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2006 9:28 AM To: suse-ia64@suse.com Subject: [suse-ia64] SLES9 on Montecito Hi there, We got a big problem with SLES9 on a 1.6/18MB Montecito Tiger 4 Platform. The SLES 9 without a sp freezes after you have choosen the installation and booting the kernel, right in front of the language settings. SLES9 with sp2 is able to go through the installtion until the system tries to mount the cdrom. SLES says that the given cd is not the cd1 (but in fact it is) and that he cant go any further. The same situation u got in SLES9 sp3. Does somebody have a clue what it can be? Thanks for your help.
