[heroes] team's presentation at oSC17
Hello, fyi, I have submitted a talk for oSC17 to present our team and the openSUSE infrastructure. The title I chose is "openSUSE Heroes fighting the villains", and possibly I'll have a nerdy oldschool comics theme. I am open to suggestions on what you'd like me to say there. Lars and Gerhard, can I have please your past presentations' slides for the opensuse infrastructure, mirrorbrain and anything else relevant? https://events.opensuse.org/conference/oSC17/program/proposal/1288 Also I plan to submit yet another talk regarding configuration management (as I do pretty much every year), haven't decided yet on the topic though. -- Theo Chatzimichos <tampakrap@opensuse.org> <tchatzimichos@suse.com> System Administrator SUSE Operations and Services Team

Maybe this is as you intended it, but when I login and attempt to display that page I get "You are not authorized to access this page." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

That's normal - talk proposals are always non-public. The page will become public once the program comitee accepts the talk. Regards, Christian Boltz -- The goal is simple: no more gnome related bugs in the 12.2 release :) (ok, we ARE optimists). That matches slightly with my earlier request for a (at least) half day workshop for the Heroes, to discuss topics and hack together on our infrastructure... :-D CU, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, it seems that Christian and I will have our *face to face* Board meeting for some days before the openSUSE conference, too. It is in planning status. Best regards, Sarah Gesendet: Dienstag, 07. You submitted it already or you want me to handle it?
Hi
You submitted it already or you want me to handle it?
I submitted it already last year... ;-) "openSUSE Heroes workshop Learn how to administrate the openSUSE infrastructure" It's time to come, sit together and work on all the different topics inside the openSUSE infrastructure. The foundation of the openSUSE Heroes during the last openSUSE Conference was just a starting point. Now it's time to get your hands dirty and see where you can help to improve the infrastructure of your favorite distribution. We will have small lightning talks inside the workshop program - but the main focus will be pair programming resp. pair administration. This workshop should be on the list of each community member who wants to get or has administration rights on openSUSE machines. Guests are always welcome - even if you just want to see "your admins" and give them a hug or a beer for their work :-) Duration: 3 h Track: openSUSE Difficulty: Medium CU there, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

Your workshop description sounds discriminating to me - please add wine as another option ;-)) (and make sure the workshop isn't on the last day because I have to drive home) *SCNR* Regards, Christian Boltz PS: non-random sig - 11 years old, but still good ;-) --
if anybody who broke a nightly build should pay on beer, the whole development department would be drunk I guess ;-) [...] over the last 2 weeks we would have been *very* drunk. [> Ulrich Windl and Marcus Meissner]
