[heroes] Join openSUSE Heroes
Deal All, I am Estu Fardani from Indonesia openSUSE Community. Last month, Edwin Zakaria told me, openSUSE need people who can be heroes at openSUSE. and I interested to join this team. I am working as DevOps Engineer at Local Startup in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I am familiar working with container, ansible, GitLab, CI/CD and AWS platform. I hope, I can get this opportunity to help more for openSUSE Project. (I'll be lazy and answer to you both in one mail ;-) Hi Estu, hi Saputro, I'm happy to see you both want to join the Heroes :-) More helping hands are always welcome! It's a bit hard to tell you what exactly could be your first task in the Heroes - what I can say is that we'll find something for sure ;-) Maybe the best way is to check our open tickets [1] and to get a quick overview about the services we provide (status.opensuse.org has a list, maybe some of them look interesting to you). If possible, you can join our next IRC meeting (next Tuesday 19:00 UTC, see [2] for details). A quick check shows that the meeting time might be in the middle of the night in your timezone. If so, don't worry and just join the IRC channel #opensuse-admin whenever it fits you. I'm sure you'll find someone to get you started - best "candidates" are Theo (tampakrap), thomic and I (cboltz). Also, please login at progress.opensuse.org at least once (using your openSUSE login) and then tell Theo or me your username so that we can give you access to all tickets and to our internal wiki. Note: I'll be busy and/or traveling for the rest of the week, which will make it harder to catch me on IRC ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz [1] https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-admin/issues (not all tickets are public) [2] https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/44732 --

You should now be able to see more tickets on https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-admin and should also be able to access https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-admin-wiki/wiki Regards, Christian Boltz --
