I added:   Prefer: kiwi-image-oem-requires to the prjconf now, as there were two packages providing the same dependencies. The entry above helps the scheduler to choose the "right" package (I hope, it's the right one).

Thank you for the fix. A VM I created based on the image starts up correctly, so it seems you made the right choice.

PS: I hope you use http://download.opensuse.org for downloading the image and do not steal bandwidth from build.opensuse.org, once the new build is ready ... ;-)

I definitely will be mindful of the bandwidth of build.o.o from now on. :-) Regards, Olav
