[heroes] Re: Hardware Donations
Hi Z, Thank you very much for considering to donate to the openSUSE Project. We would be very pleased to have Cavium as a project sponsor. There are three elements for the donation. Ciaran, legal, would go through the process review, get the signatures and make sure the document is processed and recorded correctly. The openSUSE Heroes team would be the ones to implement the hardware and the openSUSE Board would be involved for oversight to make sure the process is moving forward. I can also help with the process should you have any questions. I have included all of the emails in cc. Please let Andreas or I know if you need any further information. v/r Doug On 2018-10-09 20:08, Lim, Zi Shen wrote:

Fantastic Zi! Thank you for supporting the openSUSE Project. We would like to add cavium to the sponsors page along with other pages and a description on the sponsors page - https://en.opensuse.org/Sponsors Do you happen to have an official logo we could use? Hi Z, Thank you very much for considering to donate to the openSUSE Project. We would be very pleased to have Cavium as a project sponsor. There are three elements for the donation. Ciaran, legal, would go through the process review, get the signatures and make sure the document is processed and recorded correctly. The openSUSE Heroes team would be the ones to implement the hardware and the openSUSE Board would be involved for oversight to make sure the process is moving forward. I can also help with the process should you have any questions. I have included all of the emails in cc. Please let Andreas or I know if you need any further information.

Based on further feedback from the team, we're told openSUSE especially aarch64 project could benefit from additional server capacity. We are happy to support the community and are planning to expand our contributions with 2 additional servers.
We will target having the hardware delivered early Jan 2019. Please let me know if there are additional formalities to follow.
