I'm not sure if there is an "easy answer", which might also explain why nobody answered yet ;-) Do you have a specific service or area where you want to help out? ("Whereever needed" is of course also an option, but not an easy one when newly joining the team.) Requirements? Well, you should have some knowledge about / experience with system administration, and (probably more important) should be willing to learn. (For example, I could provide a quite long list of things I learned while working on the infrastructure.) Thinking about it - maybe the best way to get started is to join our monthly meeting. Hi Christian, My apologies, but for some reason I did not receive a mail of your reply :/ Anyhow, I'm a DevOps engineer with quite some sysadmin background. Got some python knowledge, stronger on GitOps, automation, containers and k8s type stuff. Would be more than happy to help out with the infra whenever I can and even happier if I can learn something along the way. I'm also doing some work in openSUSE on the docs and most active on the Telegram group (@adathor). Would be great if I could join the next meeting or if there is something in the meanwhile I can already help out with or look into that is even better. A.
