It often happens, usually once a day, that opening a bookmark to any particular forum (e.g. hardware, or applications) opens https://forums.opensuse.org/ instead. Is there something that can be done to prevent that nuisance from polluting browser and tab history?
Also, why is it that every day, at least one logout is forced? What purpose is served by it? I don't know of any other forums that do that, unless the browser is closed and reopened.

I suspect you have a problem with your browser, not with opensuse infra :-D

Yeah, I've seen this a few times in the past, but never have been able to track down the cause.
I've stayed logged into the forums for months at a time as well, though I do usually hop on once a day to check in on things.

FWIW, I also tested what Felix wrote, logged in, then left it, and was logged out next time I went past that tab and clicked on something. (between 24 and 48 hours later I think).

I just lost hours of work on one of Bill_L's forum threads. While I was composing a difficult and complicated response, I was apparently logged out. It threw me to the login screen when I clicked submit, and all the work I did disappeared. https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/565917-New-install-won-t-boot

That's really strange. I just did a test after having not been in the forums from at all (my home desktop was powered down for the week) since last weekend, and had no problem at all posting a test reply (all the way through submitting it).

I've been out of town for the week, just went back to the forums, and am still logged in. I was able to go as far as starting to submit a reply, and the session was still valid.
