[heroes] Heroes bot does not log in any more
Hi After fixing the notification problem of the heroes-bot in the #opensuse-admin channel, I thought I could leave the daemon alone for another year or so. But recently I noticed that the bot seems not to be able.to connect to the IRC server any longer. According to the logs it seems that he is asked for credentials? Therefor my stupid question: has anyone seen this before or changed something in the config? Otherwise I need to dig into this, forcing me to ignore some other stuff on the todo list :-( Regards, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, the bot _has to_ login - since the spam attacks on freenode started, enforcing login is one of the few ways to keep the channels spam-free. I'm not sure who initially configured the login, but I'd recommend grep -r supybot.networks.freenode.password /home/supybot HTH ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Mir ist das gerade dadurch aufgefallen, daß meine .xsession-errors die geringfügige Größe von 2,6 GiB erreicht hatte. 22 Millionen Zeilen.
