I got a strange message from users-es-owner@lists.opensuse.org
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 It is mostly in Spanish, so I translate (I am users-es-owner@lists.opensuse.org). from users-es-owner@lists.opensuse.org to users-es-owner@lists.opensuse.org First, it says that my message to users-es@lists.opensuse.org was recjected because I am not a member of the list, and that the message is attached as received by mailman. ············· Subject: Email Notification: You have (5) pending messɑges From: users-es-owner@lists.opensuse.org Date: 2023-08-09, 02:49 To: users-es@lists.opensuse.org message rejected for not being a list member. Message is attached as received by mailman ············· and this one is in English Subject: Email Notification: You have (5) pending messɑges From: Mail Delivery System <users-es@lists.opensuse.org> Date: 2023-08-09, 02:49 To: users-es@lists.opensuse.org Message generated from lists.opensuse.org source. Notification of pending 5 messages. Some messages are restrained from delivering to users-es@lists.opensuse.org Due to low bandwidth we notify you to take prompt actions [Release Messages] [Review Here] Message should be moved to inbox. Goto Clutter. ·············· The last one has two buttons, [Release Messages] [Review Here]. I try review, which goes to <https://fleek.ipfs.io/ipfs/QmNYaXUdwVFgYDe9GWZAKpszkJ9W3Hp1j5agEpeGXz9yVe?filename=mail%2520%25283%2529.html#users-es@lists.opensuse.org> And here is where I get suspicious, because it asks for my "users-es@lists.opensuse.org" password, which is strange because I'm already logged in to <https://lists.opensuse.org/manage/lists/users-es.lists.opensuse.org/header-matches/> and I see nothing pending. So, this is a phising attempt, right? - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. Yes, I've seen them on the english lists from time to time as well. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

Thanks. I'm used to (random) phishing attempts, but not this kind, targeted to a role I have/do. Took me by surprise. I did not realize what it was till I wrote the end of the email and tried the click, so a longish time. Phew! -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.4 x86_64 at Telcontar)
