Well, this is only little information about your problem, as there is no morse code tutor coming with the SUSE version I am using now (9.2). Therefore this is just some wild guessing in the dark ... I remember the program cwgen of SUSE 8.1. That program did not work on a KDE Konsole but only on a text console (CTRL-ALT-F1 ... CTRL-ALT-F6).
