Hey HAMs; I am trying to get echolinux/echogui to work. It (echogui) comes up and gets the nodes list correctly. I then select any node and it showsup in the section indicating that it is trying to connect. thats is it. It near connects to any station. Skype VoIP work flawless. Echolinux fails I have tryied "ping 69.151.199.196" which is the IP# shown in echogui. It works. However, I can not connect using echolinux. strace shows nothing very helpful but "timeout". -- 73 de Donn Washburn Hpage:" http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " 307 Savoy St. HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador LL# 1.281.242.3256 VoIP via Skype: n5xwbg " http://counter.li.org " #279316

Hi! I am running echogui behind a router/firewall. I was trying to get it up for one hour, before I realized that I have to open the ports on the firewall. Maybe you have a similar Problem. Skype is known for being smart on getting connections. -- Thomas Gehler Linuxpartner GmbH Weinheimer Str. 1a D-69198 Schriesheim fon: +49 6203 600 7510 fax: +49 6203 600 7514 http://www.linuxpartner.de mailto:gehler@linuxpartner.de
