I know this has been asked before but I have not seen a satisfactory answer.
Has anyone got gpsk31, as provided with SUSE 9.1, working properly? I can see that one needs to change the personal details within the config file, but is there anything else I need to do? The comport setting appears to be correct as I can trigger the transmitter by clicking the tx button but nothing appears on the receive screen. And what about the frequency setting? The default setting is 1000. Hz?
In case I get no answer to that, does anyone have another recommendation for a good linux psk program? And if so, where to get it?

Gervase, I used PSK31 quite a lot when I was running Windows, and really enjoyed it. So when I changed to Linux, I wanted to still run the mode. Just before I went QRT a couple of years ago, I tried gpsk31 as supplied by SUSE. If I remember correctly, I could not get it to work, having error messages that it could not find my sound card. So I tried the program KPSK and, again if I remember correctly (old age makes one forgetful!) I had better success with that program. But I became inactive before I really did anything with it. Suggest you try KPSK. Get it from Sourceforge. Hope this helps. 73 Keith G4JVX (but inactive at the moment)
