Moblin specific packages for Moblin:UI
Aloha all, I'm in the process of sr'ing the Moblin specific packages into the Moblin:UI repo so that we can then get them into Factory. I'd like to confirm the list below as *all* the packages that need to go into that repo and then get lionked back into Moblin:2.2. The list I have so far is: anerley anjal bickley bisho dalston dates glib2-branding-Moblin gnome-menus-branding-Moblin gtk2-branding-Moblin mobile-broadband-provider-info moblin-app-installer moblin-branding-opensuse moblin-branding-tools moblin-cursor-theme moblin-gtk-engine moblin-icon-theme moblin-internet-browser moblin-menus moblin-panel-applications moblin-panel-myzone moblin-panel-pasteboard moblin-panel-people moblin-panel-status moblin-panel-web moblin-registration moblin-release moblin-sound-theme moblin-ux-settings mojito MozillaFirefox-branding-Moblin mutter-moblin network-manager-netbook syncevolution tasks twitter-glib uxlaunch WiMAX-Network-Service wimax-tools If anyone has any additions/subtractions please let me know. WiMAX-Network-Service wimax-tools
Presumably in some NetworkManager related Devel project - if so, where would that be ? :-) and can we link these packages from there ?
anjal
I would avoid anjal for now; we'll go with Evo Express for 2.2 - and maintaining it vs. Evolution is prolly a tad difficult just now.
anerley bickley bisho dalston dates
I think we will drop 'dates' too.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for that. I do have one question though, can you confirm if
the following are still needed:

I initially read that as all the above will be dropped along with dates, but when I read it again it didn't come across like that. Andrew, please start early with submission of packages from their devel package to openSUSE:Factory. Each package needs to go through a legal review and that might take a few days and since you'll submit a large number, let's start early with those that you have already. You can always submit a patch afterwards - but please start early with the first submit to Factory. thanks, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

OK I've started the submission of packages, so far I've sr'ed 13 packages with a few more almost there - the Summary & Description fields on some need a bit of content. Hopefully I can get more done by the end of the week. And the first ones have been added to factory already - Congratulations! Sure we still need those I guess; sorry - just editing the list quickly :-) Thanks, Michael. -- michael.meeks@novell.com <><, Pseudo Engineer, itinerant idiot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+help@opensuse.org

OK luckily my brain thought that way too, so I've already done them. There are two packages that I'm not 100% sure of, they certainly apply to the SLE based pre-load, but I'm not so sure about how or even if they are needed on openSUSE. They are moblin-registration, and moblin-release. Now I am correct in saying that communication with NCC is a purely SLE related task and not one that openSUSE users do? Also do we want to have a different release, or do we just use what comes with the distro? Many thanks, Andy P.S. all bar those two packages mentioned are now linked back into Moblin:2.2 -- Andrew Wafaa IRC: FunkyPenguin PGP: 0x3A36312F openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+help@opensuse.org

Correct, we're ripping registration away from openSUSE right now.
Also do we want to have a different release, or do we just use what comes with the distro?
I propose to use the openSUSE release package for now since this will be part of openSUSE.
