Hello, http://en.opensuse.org/Moblin/Build_Service describes how to create an iso. But is there an iso file to download? Ooops, still rebuilding... While here, one more questions: is it possible to build the ISO file using openSUSE factory instead of 11.1? I'm asking, because my "Linux is fully supported" Dell Inspiron Mini 10v has no network at all with 11.1, even on-board Ethernet is broken, it is found, but it always reports "link down", and no wifi driver. With factory at least Ethernet works fine and there is even a wifi driver, just not working with this particular machine ( http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=531784 ). Mobin uses the latest kernel version (2.6.30), so your hardware might be working with that. Oh wait, that's the broadcom wireless. Ick, sorry, but Broadcom has a closed source kernel driver for it, nothing we can do about that in any of our builds. Could this driver be added to the non-oss repo? A netbook without wifi is a pretty dumb thing... I tried to compile it myself from "sources" available at http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php , but I could not get it compiled with my limited C knowledge... No, sorry, it can not, as we are not allowed to redistribute it. Hi, I do indeed have an idea - the kiwi file is a bit broken at the moment. I am just running a test build now on an update before i commit it. Hopefully the OBS gods will be kind and I can commit it today. I will let the list know how things go. Regards,
OK so the OBS gods have been fairly kind to me, and after a few subtle errors and several typos I managed to fix things. If you do an 'osc up' you should be able to get things going. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it is certainly better.
